DIY Argan Oil Hair Serum that works
More than a decade ago, my hairdresser introduced me to a commercial styling serum that contained Argan oil. At this time, celebrities were using this product, it was sold in all high-end salons and departments, at a high-end price. I used it for a while, it smelled awesome and did help me to have fewer split ends. Then I looked at the label and read the ingredients. I was floored by what I read, number 1, it was a lot of long scientific words, that I couldn’t pronounce!
Here are some of the ingredients I found:
Silicon-based hair emollients (Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, and Cyclomethicone) have been associated with organ system toxicity (organ failure), Endocrine disruption (hormone changing), and is environmentally toxic too!
Synthetic fragrances (Butylphenyl Methylpropional and coumarin) a lot of people are allergic to these and can cause contact dermatitis (skin rashes), Butylphenyl Methylpropional is also linked to organ system toxicity and endocrine disruption.
