Sweetened shredded coconut
Egg whites
Sugar
All-purpose flour
Salt
Vanilla extract
Semisweet chocolate

Measurements:

1 14-ounce package sweetened shredded coconut (about 5 cups)
4 large egg whites
⅔ cups sugar
⅓ cup all-purpose flour spooned and leveled
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
6 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled to room temperature

Instructions making the Best chocolate coconut Macaroons ever

Step 1: Heat oven to 350° F.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites, add Sugar and beat again. Add coconut, flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla and mix gently.
Step 3: Drop packed tablespoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them 1 inch apart.
Step 4: Bake at 350° F, rotating the baking sheets halfway through, until the coconut Macaroons are lightly golden, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool on the baking sheets and finally transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Step 5: When cooled down, melt the chocolate and gently decorate the cake with chocolate. Put the macaroons in a refrigerator for 20 minutes. You can store the macaroons in an airtight container for up to 7 days in room temperature.
